Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2022 Acura TLX is available in six trims, including the standard base trim, the Technology, A-Spec, Advance, Type S, and Type S Perf. Wheel & Tire. For its body, the Acura has a streamlined design to make it more aerodynamic. Stylish, the TLX features a front grille with a diamond-shaped design. Sharp Jewel Eye LED headlights have an emboss on the front, with its triangular taillights continue the vehicle's style at the rear. Illumination is from LED fog lights, LED DRLs, and a power-folding mirror with puddle light. Rain-sensing wipers help keep drivers safe, and a front windshield wiper de-icer is a convenience for drivers. For body colors, the standard TLX has one color of Modern Steel Metallic with additional five options.

Engine (Power)

The Acura TLX offers two powertrains. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. This engine has a powerful 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available on the TLX, Technology, A-Spec, and Advance. The second engine is a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine for the TLX Type S and Type S Perf. Wheel & Tire trims. The engine has 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Both engines have a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard with the TLX. Optional is all-wheel drive.

Performance

The TLX reaches 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. It has a fuel economy of up to 19 city / 25 highway mpg. Handling is steady, giving the vehicle driver and passengers a smooth ride. TheTLX, Technology, A-Spec, and Advance trims have 21 mpg for city and 29 mpg for highway with a total 24 mpg For the TLX Type S and Type S Perf. Wheel & Tire trims, the mpg is 19 mpg city and 24 highway with an accumulative 21 mpg.

Interior

The standard for the TLX infotainment is an audio system with an ELS 13-speaker premium sound system. Optional is a 17-speaker ELS Studio sound system as part of its Technology package. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available. Optional features include in-car Wi-Fi, voice recognition, and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Bluetooth is available. The TLX features a roomy front seat experience, with cargo space behind the second row at 13.5 cubic feet.

Safety Features

The Acura TLX comes with impressive safety tech. These standard features include automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assist. Its adaptive cruise control and a driver attention monitor are standard. Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking is standard. This alerts the driver of collisions with the car in front of the vehicle and applies the brakes. The lane-keeping assist function steers the vehicle back into its lane. This happens if the vehicle begins to drift over the lane marker. The optional Technology package adds front and rear parking sensors, a blind-spot monitor, and a rear cross-traffic alert.
